1. What made you pursue NFT Art?

I’m always looking for new ways to express my creativity. I like the idea of creating new experiences that use all the possibilities of the medium. I’m working on it and pushing it to its limits.

I’ve been aware of crypto since 2010, but the idea of merging art and crypto didn’t come to my mind that early because I was focused on a more traditional gallery approach. It wasn’t until last year that I became interested in NFTs and began studying different projects and looking at the possibilities of this medium. I began by being a consumer of NFTS, and right away, I discovered their advantages and how I could make them better.

2. As an artist with a background in traditional arts, what are the benefits of working with NFTs?

There are many advantages of using NFT technology. Still, it’s very important to use it correctly, have a clear image of what you’re trying to achieve first, and use it to create the best experience possible. NFTs are something very exciting where community plays a much bigger role overall than a traditional art gallery format.

The NFT medium is very fast and is changing all the time; you have to be able to adapt and learn as you’re working. All my knowledge of working in traditional mediums gave me this confidence and work ethic that people appreciate and see in the final pieces.

In addition, being able to share ownership of an art piece with someone at that speed is super interesting and powerful. Speed and transparency are the two key elements and advantages of NFTs as an art medium.

3. How did you come up with “ICBucks”, your NFT art project?

Most people from the NFT space aren’t that aware of artists working in other more traditional mediums of art (including me), so I had to come up with an idea that let me show to a new audience my creativity and artistic abilities while using something that was very visually familiar to everyone. It was a challenge. No one had created anything like this before.

I told myself: “Let’s create an NFT project with a different aesthetic, something that appeals to collectors not only from NFTS but from outside.” Whenever you hear people talking about NFTS, you can hear them talking more about the speculation than being a serious medium. That also reinforced the idea of “currency” and made us think this could work if executed properly.

Also, the use of different characters and memes gave the collection an interesting artistic visual value that everyone gets anywhere in the world. The idea of a “buck”, of “money”, is something everyone can understand.

4. What are you planning over the upcoming months? Any new projects or releases?

I have indeed just released my new collection. WAGMI Dystopian Club (WDC) is a unique collection of 8888 original digital collectables that represent a dystopian society in which characters manifest their dreams and realities. Hundreds of elements, hand-crafted by me, create a metaphysical playground brought to life by the collective imagination of the WDC members. Welcome to The Future5. In your opinion, what makes an artist successful in the Crypto Art scene?

You must have the hardest work ethic, a strong vision and a clear idea of what you are trying to achieve. You also have to be able to adapt fast and ignore the noise.

6. Lastly, what piece of advice would you give to artists who are only starting with NFTs?

I would advise them to have a strong work ethic. Being open-minded is very important too. You will need some self-confidence if you want to succeed. Many people will try to change your vision, and it’s your job as an artist to decide the extent of their opinion.
